3rd International Workshop on Trends in Electronics and Informatics
12th International Workshop on Surface Engineering
from 28.06.2023 to 30.06.2023 at J. Selye University, Slovakia.
Said about us:
The International Workshop is organized in the frame of CIII-PL-0701 network runs in Komárno, Slovakia. The workshop is held under the patronage of rector of J. Selye University.
The goal of that CEEPUS Network titled “Engineering as Communication Language in Europe” is to create communication and cooperation between engineers, dealing with various engineering branches. The aim of the Network is to be able to create Interdisciplinary Engineering Teams. A strong background in engineering techniques applicable to a wide variety of complex problems is in demand in the widespread knowledge. Our engineers should understand more than one discipline and be prepared to work at the intersection of two or more engineering and science disciplines. Nowadays research and industry sectors have high requirements towards engineers. Often a single engineer is not able to solve complicated interdisciplinary problems, but there is a great possibility that Interdisciplinary Engineering Teams would make it better and faster. The CEEPUS Network “Engineering as Communication Language in Europe” gives the opportunity to create successful cooperation, not only between students, but also between teachers from all the universities, which are participants in the network PL-701. Additionally, the Network is open for any open-minded people, who can participate in events organized by that network with using the Freemover Mobilities.
J. Selye University was founded on 23 October, 2003 through the passing of the law No. 465/2003 on its establishment by the National Council of the Slovak Republic. The act came into force on 1 January 2004. J. Selye University is the only independent legal entity in Slovakia, which offers academic study programmes to an ethnic minority in their mother tongue, i.e. Hungarian. It serves as a public institution providing education for the Hungarian minority on the highest educational level. Not only was the establishment of J. Selye University a significant step in the development of Slovak higher education, it was also a unique event in the history of the EU.
The mission of J. Selye University is to offer high priority to quality study programmes at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels and to boost research programmes, preserve and respect universal ethical norms, promote the development of harmonious personality and ensure freedom of thought and opinion.
Our university is an institution where multiculturalism, the freedom of thought and opinion, responsibility, human dignity, democracy, creativity, the originality of academic research and efficient instructor-student communication are basic principles. Besides providing high quality education our institution also contributes to the development of science and research by building cooperation with the international network of institutions, and thus providing an opportunity for Hungarian researchers in Slovakia to join international research projects. Our institution is a regional centre of science and research taking an active role in economic, social and cultural life of the region.
